City Guide of Valencia, Spain

Menu

All of the major touristic and cultural sights in Valencia are found in the historical city. Once surrounded by the now-disappeared medieval walls, an oval of streets continues to mark where the walls once stood. Encircling the city now are the streets Calle Guillem de Castro, Calle Játiva, Calle Colón and finally the Turia riverbed (the actual river has since been diverted).
Running roughly north to south, you can further divide the historical city of Valencia into three main sections: El Carmen, the Cathedral Quarter and the Ayuntamiento Quarter- all have tons of things to to do and see! The visually stunning, one-of-a-kind City of Arts and Sciences, meanwhile, lies outside of the historical city of Valencia to the south east.
